The Celestial Intelligence Agency: Interstices #

You know that feeling when you are are making something, and you think to yourself, “I ought to say something about what I’m making,” and then you remember all those times you said stuff about what you were making and people offered you helpful comments like, “Why would you make a thing like that?” Yeah, you know what I mean. Writing a book is like that, except worse. No one know why you are writing a book, not even the author all the way. Still, it is nice to say a few words, and The Rogue has been nudging the author to say a few things about the new work which is still in progress.

So, here goes.

The New Work #

The new book has ties to the previous universe, but does not occur strictly within it. It has a distinctly more macro view where events and occurrences take place. You will meet many new characters, and you will learn about some very “behind the scenes” places that are forces within the universe where The Rogue Scholar lives. If you have high hopes of seeing all the characters from the first work at length, more than likely you should kill that hope right now. This work has a different focal point.

It’s Gonna Be Huge(r) #

The new book is going to be much larger than the first. Whereas the first book was around 50,000 words or so, this one looks to be on track to hit at least a 100,000.

This One Won’t Be For Public Release #

This one is more for friends, family, and supporters. Therefore, the “big guys”, like Amazon, who like to try to be nasty in various ways won’t be included as a platform for release unless something drastically changes in how those places treat authors and independent works. No free reads will be available for the Celestial Intelligence Agency: Interstices. If you want something sometimes you have to be prepared to give something–especially if it is something different than what has been. Supporting different gets you different. Supporting independent gets you independent. Vote with your tokens/dollars.
